Lot 12~February Happenings
Valentine’s Day, President’s Day Weekend &
a Water Tasting Festival!
So, we are officially back from our relaxing winter break…it was a great month! We hope you missed us. Our re-open date is Friday, February 6th! We’re unveiling our new Dinner Menu, a slight change to our hours of service and we’re very excited about all of the activities in our small town this month.
Once you take a peek at our new menu, you’ll see we’ve been inspired by our Southern food allegiance. It was reinvigorated after we toured through the South in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves trying every BBQ stand and Southern food menu item we could order. We’ll be introducing “Southern Sundays” late February, (check in on FaceBook for updates). You can expect to see a variety of “bistro” style Sunday dinner specials…Veal Meatloaf, Fried Quail and Waffles…who could resist. We couldn’t. And we hope you can’t either.
Our Hours of Service have shifted slightly. While we remain dinner only Thursday through Sunday, we will now be opening at 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. This includes the the bar as well, so you can stop in for a snack or cocktail before dinner now too!
We’ll have a splendid 3-course dinner for all of the lovebirds on Valentine’s Day which also happens to fall on the very busy President’s Day Holiday Weekend. We’ll be offering the special menu on Sunday, February 15th as well (we are currently booked for the 14th!).
Later in the month our town of Berkeley Springs is all about water. Sparkling water, bottled water, municipal water, spring water…you can learn more here from the Travel Berkeley Springs website. We’ll be hosting a wine tasting this weekend so again, call soon as space is limited to about 30 guests. Friday, February 20th @ 6pm (upstairs!) we’ll be showcasing wines from South America.
We try not to overwhelm you with multiple newsletters or e-blasts each month. Nobody likes that, neither do we. BUT…if you’d like to hear from us more than once a month…we update regularly on FaceBook check us out here! |

| Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday this year so those tables filled up quickly! Friday, February 13th or Sunday, February 15th are certain to be popular as well, so please call soon! We’ll be offering a prix-fix 3-course dinner (Saturday & Sunday only), complete with chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals scattered about. | The 25th Annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Festival begins Thursday, February 19th and concludes Saturday, February 21st and is held at the Country Inn in downtown Berkeley Springs! Yes, a WATER TASTING festival…it’s the largest one in the world and host’s over 125 entries from all over the globe. Book a spa appointment or arrange to soak in our famed healing spring water baths at the Berkeley Springs State Park Bathhouse while you’re in town! |

Have you been in for a wine tasting yet??
Join us on Friday, February 20th at 6pm, upstairs for a casual wine tasting where we’ll explore wines from South America. We’ll taste four wines that you won’t find at the grocer but wish you did once you taste them! Cost is $20 per person and includes light hors d’ouevres to compliment the flavors. Then join us for dinner and try out our new dinner menu! As always…call ahead, space is limited to the first 30 guests. |

Lot 12~December Happenings
Festive and Delicious, as usual!
December brings many changes! We host many Private Holiday Celebrations this month, several of which close our restaurant to the public so please call ahead or check our website for a complete list of Hours of Service changes! Additionally, we are open on evenings not normal to our schedule! Every year we remain open during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve..that’s right, every night! Plan on visiting us any evening, December 26th through December 31st. Because of course, January marks our Winter Vacation. We close each year January 1st through (typically) the first Friday in February…weather permitting! |

| Don’t forget your special someone this year! Gift certificates from Lot 12 make a great gift! We make it easy…phone orders are available and we can mail it directly to the recipient-complete with a beautiful Jan Heath designed Lot 12 gift card! | New Year’s Eve is our Grand Finale! Join us on Wednesday, December 31st! A fabulous 4-course, prix-fix dinner luxuriously prepared and served during two seatings! Our first seating begins between 5:30 and 6pm, the second begins 8:30-9pm, later guests are welcome to stay through midnight! Each course offers choices with something for every palate! A truly special evening! Cost is $85 per person and includes a sparkling toast! |

Wine Tasting Series Continues!
Mark your calendars for Friday, November 21st, from 6-8pm, we’ll be tasting wines suitable for Thanksgiving Dinner! No easy task to pair a wine with braised cabbage and gravy, we understand! You’re sure to find your favorite…be the star of Thanksgiving and bring the perfect bottle! cost is $18 per person, light hors d’ouevres are served as well. Please call to reserve your spot as space is limited!

A three-course dinner, just as you imagined…
delicious fall soup or salad, followed by a hearty serving of traditional turkey and trimmings, finished with an amazing choice of Pumpkin Cheesecake, Bourbon Pecan Pie or Apple Crostata. An optional Wine Pairing will be available as well. As usual, space is limited! Cost is $55 per person, wine pairing is an additional $20 per person. Two seatings will be available, 2-2:30 and again at 4-5:30pm, Thursday, November 27th. And after you’ve shopped all day Friday (hopefully at our local retailers!) stop in for a relaxing dinner or a glass of wine in our bar! Tis the season!!

Lot 12-Autumn Soup CSA
8 Weeks-
Friday, October 31st through December 19th, 2014
1 Quart per week
Cost is $96 + tax, (and shipping if applicable)
We’ll be using Mason jars…please return each week!
What type of soup will I get?
-Delicious. And different each week! We’ll be sourcing local for as long as the season allows!
You will receive an email each Friday describing the soup and ingredients. Some weeks may be vegetarian but most will not.
When can I pick it up?
-During restaurant service hours on Friday-between 5pm and 10pm
What if I unexpectedly can’t make it on Friday?
-We will keep it refrigerated until Saturday and then donate any unclaimed soups to Starting Points (our local food pantry) or feel free to send a friend in your stead.
What if I know I’ll be out of town that week?-You get one freebie…with advanced notice we will make an exception and then supply you with an additional share the following week. Otherwise, we’ll donate to Starting Points.
